About Project

CASE STUDY

The product:  Hepburn High is a online School. Hepburn high is a fashion school that offers different services, this website project mostly focus on the need of a study partner, the choices, the motives and applications.
Project duration:  January 2022
The problem:  Lack of online fashion school decreases the chance of many people to get educated and pursue their dream job.
The goal: Create a online school website to help people  follow their dream job, give the chance to make it a easy journey with the support of study partner.
My role:  UX designer, UX researcher, from conception to delivery.
Responsibilities:   Conducting interviews, paper and digital wire framing, low and high-fidelity prototyping, conducting usability studies, accounting for accessibility, and interacting on design
Summary:I conducted interviews and created empathy maps to understand the user I’m designing for and their needs. A primary user group identified through research was working and non, young/adults which are working or limited physically to go to school and would like a chance in life to study in order to do their dream job. This user group study revealed that the main obstacle for them is their impossibility to go physically to school, while a online school is more to everybody reach, plus they can arrange lessons, and study partner meeting when they can.

Pain point
1 Young/Adult people that cannot go physically or for other personal reason to school.
2 Student often feel the need of support that cannot find easily.
3 Lack of online High School.
4 Need of pre-arranged video lesson to follow on their time.
PERSONA: Martin Jones
Problem statement: Martin is a young man of 18, who needs to get educated from home, due to Covid situation and his younger sister to look after, because he want to pursue is dream job as a Stylist.
Usability study: findings
From this usability study I found loads of suggestion for improve the app by adding different kind of customization that will definitely be useful to reach a more broad range of people .
1 User wonder if you have access to all pages even without the login from student.
2 User seem lost when from homepage you go to books section but without having the page on the navigation bar.
3 Empathize the registration form with a pop up overlay

Accessibility considerations
1 Provide access to users who are vision impaired through adding alt text to images for screen readers.
2 Used icons to help make navigation easier.
3 Used detailed imagery for each ingredient available to help users better understand the design.
Impact: The website makes user feel like Hepburn High really think about how to meet student needs.
One quote from peer feedback: “The website is well built, intuitive and the idea it’s sound so appealing. For people who has moving impairment it would be great”
What I learned: While designing the Website, I learned that the first ideas for the app are only the beginning of the process. Usability studies and peer feedback influenced each interaction of the designs.
